Positive Psychology Coaching

is an engaging, creative process used to solve a problem, reach a goal or create positive life changes that enhance the sense of well-being and purpose.

Coaching is unlike therapy

because it does not focus on examining/diagnosing the past. Instead coaching focuses on effecting change in a client’s current and future be-havior.

A coach uses a variety of interventions

in order to help clients identify personal goals, as well as develop and im-plement action plans in order to achieve those goals.

By changing our interpretation of events, we can change our physical and psychological response to stress and anxiety.

We all have a tendency to blame external events for the stress and anxiety we feel in our lives. The truth however, is that it is actually our interpretation of the events cause the physiological discomfort associated with stress/anxiety. Once we learn how to modify our internal dialogue and subjective interpretation of any given event, we can change how we react to them. This, in part explains why two different people will react differently to the same situation. Take a fire drill for example. Whereas some will treat it as a drill and evacuate in an orderly fashion, some may become anxious thinking it is a real fire, and some might even ignore it thinking it is only a drill that is wasting their time.

The following products/resources have been scientifically proven to assist in slowing down the stress response and challenging stress/anxiety inducing thoughts:
